WELCOME!

Students for the Delta is an expansion of Restore the Delta, a grassroots campaign committed to making the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta fishable, swimmable, drinkable, and farmable to benefit all of California.

Students for the Delta advocates for a cost effective and environmentally sound water package and seeks the establishment of a governance system that protects the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta’s ecosystem, defends local
Delta water needs, and generates funding for federal and state restoration projects.

What do you mean “Restore the Delta”?

Can the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta be restored to what it was before people started building levees, shipping channels, farms, and towns there? Of course not.

Can it be restored to a region where productive agriculture and healthy habitat are successfully interwoven? Yes, it can. Here’s how:
